12 Statement of purpose of bill as introduced: This bill proposes to:
13(1) establish a statutory requirement for public schools to adopt and
14 enforce inclusive policies aligned with Vermont Education Quality Standards;
15(2) preemptively protect Vermont schools from implementing federally
16 mandated policies that conflict with State standards for equity and inclusivity;
17 and
18(3) provide authority to the Vermont Agency of Education to issue
19 guidance and support schools in resisting discriminatory federal mandates.
