An Act relative to the retirement classification of certain employees of the city of Beverly.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding paragraph (g) of subdivision (2) of section 3 of chapter 32
2 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, employees of the city of
3 Beverly employed as fire alarm operators who were hired by the city on or before January 26,
4 2006, including those fire alarm operators hired on or before January 26, 2006, who thereafter
5 transfer to the position of public safety telecommunicator, also known as joint civilian
6 dispatcher, for the city of Beverly shall be classified by the Beverly retirement board in Group 2.
7 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
