An Act relative to creating accessible CNA training.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 Section 1. Section 72W of chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022
2 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding after “The commissioner after consultation with
3 the secretary of elder affairs and the board of registration shall establish standards for the training
4 of nurses' aides which shall include a minimum of sixty hours of training;” the following:
5 “provided that such training shall be delivered in languages other than English, including, but not
6 limited to, Spanish, Chinese and Haitian Creole; provided further that the department shall
7 determine in which languages the training shall be offered.”
