An Act relative to judicial compensation.
  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1SECTION 1. Section 22 of chapter 211 is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof
2 the following: -
3Such compensation shall be increased at the same rate of increase, if any, as the
4 percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Workers for the Northeast Region
5 commencing the first day in July of the year 2025, and every year thereafter
6SECTION 2. Section 2 of Chapter 211A of the General Laws by adding at the end
7 thereof the following: -
8Such compensation shall be increased at the same rate of increase, if any, as the
9 percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Workers for the Northeast Region
10 commencing the first day in July of the year 2025, and every year thereafter
11SECTION 3. Section 4 of Chapter 211B of the General Laws is hereby amended by
12 adding at the end thereof the following: -

13Such compensation shall be increased at the same rate of increase, if any, as the
14 percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Workers for the Northeast Region
15 commencing the first day in July of the year 2025, and every year thereafter
16SECTION 4. Chapter 32 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after
17 Section 65J the following section: -
18Section 65k. All justices of the supreme judicial court, appeals court and the several
19 departments of the trial court, who have reached the mandatory retirement age of 70 under the
20 Massachusetts Constitution, Part II, c.3 article 1, as amended by the Article 98 of the
21 Amendments, shall be entitled to an adjustment to their annual pension; and said pension shall be
22 increased at the same rate of increase, if any, as the percentage change in the Consumer Price
23 Index for Urban Workers for the Northeast Region commencing on July 1, 2025, and every year
24 thereafter.
