[216I.115] PROHIBITION ON CHILD LABOR FOR CERTAIN1.8FACILITIES.1.9(a) The commission is prohibited from issuing a permit for a solar energy generating1.10system or a wind energy conversion system under this chapter unless the applicant has1.11demonstrated to the commission's satisfaction that no child labor, as defined under section1.12325D.75, subdivision 1, is used to manufacture the equipment used to construct and operate1.13the solar energy generating system or wind energy conversion system.1.14(b) Paragraph (a) also applies to a solar energy generating system or a wind energy1.15conversion system subject to local review under section 216I.08.1.16Sec. 2. [325D.75] CHILD LABOR FREE PRODUCTS.1.17Subdivision 1. Definitions. (a) For purposes of this section, the following terms have1.18the meanings given.1.19(b) "Child labor" has the meaning given in the International Labor Organization's1.20Minimum Age Convention No. 138.1.21(c) "Solar photovoltaic device" has the meaning given in section 116C.7791.Sec. 2. 101/24/25 REVISOR RSI/MI 25-012252.1 (d) "Wind energy conversion system" has the meaning given in section 216I.02,2.2 subdivision 20.2.3 Subd. 2. Prohibition. It is an unlawful trade practice to offer for sale in Minnesota any2.4 electric vehicle battery, solar photovoltaic device, or wind energy conversion system unless2.5 the electric vehicle battery, solar photovoltaic device, or wind energy conversion system's2.6 manufacturer certifies that no child labor was used to manufacture the electric vehicle2.7 battery, solar photovoltaic device, or wind energy conversion system.2.8 Subd. 3. Remedies. A person that violates subdivision 2 is subject to the penalties2.9 established under section 325D.56.Sec. 2. 2
