sb1494/introduced-in-senate.txt119 S1494 IS: Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program Enhancement Act of 2025U.S. Senate2025-04-10text/xmlENPursuant to Title 17 Section 105 of the United States Code, this file is not subject to copyright protection and is in the public domain.II 119th CONGRESS 1st Session S. 1494 IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES April 10, 2025 Mr. Rounds (for himself, Ms. Lummis , Ms. Smith , Mr. Welch , and Mr. Cramer ) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry A BILLTo amend the Federal Agriculture Improvement and Reform Act of 1996 to make additional coverage under the Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program available for crops and grasses used for grazing, and for other purposes.1.Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program Enhancement Act of 2025 .2.Noninsured crop disaster assistance program(a)In generalSection 196 of the Federal Agriculture Improvement and Reform Act of 1996 ( 7 U.S.C. 7333 ) is amended—(1)in subsection (a)(1)(A)(ii), by striking except in the case of crops and grasses used for grazing, ; and(2)in subsection (l)(1), in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking (other than for crops and grasses used for grazing) .(b)RegulationsNot later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Agriculture shall promulgate regulations to carry out the amendments made by subsection (a).
