9 Statement of purpose of bill as introduced: This bill proposes to require the
10 land outside the fence on the grounds of the Southeast State Correctional
11 Facility, commonly referred to as the “Windsor State Prison,” to be transferred
12 to the Department of Fish and Wildlife for inclusion in Windsor Grasslands
13 Wildlife Management Area, except for the existing solar energy generation
14 facility. The bill would also require the remote building within the fence of the
15 Southeast State Correctional Facility to be reserved for future use as a nature
16 center.

18 It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
