H.R. No. 16
  R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Cy-Fair Republican Women is hosting its 20 Year
  Founder' s Day Celebration on July 8, 2025; and
         WHEREAS, Founded in June 2005 by a small group of women in the
  northwest Houston area, CFRW is dedicated to promoting the
  principles of the Republican Party; the club supports the election
  of candidates at the local, state, and national levels, engages the
  public about civic issues, and provides opportunities for members
  to become politically active; today, the club benefits from the
  able leadership of its president, Trish Powell; and
         WHEREAS, During its 20 Year Founder' s Day Celebration, CFRW
  will honor a number of its original members; the event will also
  feature guest speaker Steve Munisteri, who served as chair of the
  Republican Party of Texas for three terms; and
         WHEREAS, For two decades, Cy-Fair Republican Women has worked
  tirelessly to advance the goals and values of the Republican Party
  and to promote an informed electorate in Texas, and its members may
  indeed take great pride in their many accomplishments; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate the 20 Year
  Founder' s Day Celebration hosted by Cy-Fair Republican Women and
  that all those associated with the club be extended sincere best
  wishes for the future.
