H.C.R. No. 4
  HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, August 4, 2025, marked the 47th wedding anniversary
  of Rickey and Anne Lowe, and this joyous event provides a fitting
  opportunity to reflect on their rewarding journey together as
  husband and wife; and
         WHEREAS, Rickey Lowe and the former Anne Simonds met while
  attending The University of Texas at Austin, and they were joined in
  matrimony at a ceremony held in Houston in 1978; soon thereafter,
  they moved to Dallas, Mr. Lowe's hometown; deeply dedicated to
  their Christian faith, they were blessed to adopt two children into
  their treasured family through Buckner Baptist Benevolences; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Lowe enjoyed a rewarding career as a mainframe
  computer programmer while Mrs. Lowe devoted herself to her home and
  family; following many happy years in the Carrollton community,
  they retired to Horseshoe Bay in 2020; and
         WHEREAS, The 47 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Lowe have
  shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and
  commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who
  know them; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 89th Legislature of the State of Texas,
  2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Rickey and Anne Lowe on
  their 47th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
  wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Lowe as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
