R. 5029IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVESAugust 22, 2025Mr. Patronis introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Armed ServicesA BILLTo amend title 10, United States Code, to codify the organization, mission, and location of the United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron commonly referred to as the Blue Angels , and for other purposes.1.Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Blue Angels Act .2.Organization, mission, and location of united states navy flight demonstration squadron(a)Organization, mission, and locationSection 8062 of title 10, United States Code, is amended—(1)by redesignating subsection (h) as subsection (i); and(2)by inserting after subsection (g) the following new subsection:(h)(1)The Secretary of the Navy shall ensure that the Navy maintains a squadron at Pensacola, Florida, the mission of which is to conduct flight demonstrations to support recruiting and awareness efforts of the Navy.(2)In carrying out the mission under paragraph (1), the squadron specified in such paragraph shall—(A)conduct at least two flight demonstration events annually at Pensacola, Florida; and(B)conduct in Florida at least 60 percent of the total number of training flights conducted by such squadron annually.(3)The Secretary of the Navy may not reduce the number of aircraft or personnel assigned to the squadron specified in paragraph (1) below the number assigned to such squadron as of July 31, 2025..(b)ApplicabilityThe requirements of section 8062(h)(2) of title 10, United States Code, as amended by subsection (a), shall apply with respect to each calendar year beginning on or after the date of the enactment of this Act.
