H.R. No. 123
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Scott LeMay retired as mayor of Garland on June 17,
2025; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Garland since 2001, Mr. LeMay has long
taken an active role in his community, serving on the board of the
Camelot Neighborhood Association and on the Garland Charter Review
Committee and Plan Commission; he subsequently made a successful
bid to become a Garland City Council member, a position he held for
three consecutive terms; following his election as mayor on May 4,
2019, he demonstrated outstanding leadership in carrying out the
duties of his office; and
WHEREAS, Outside of his civic involvement, Mr. LeMay has
enjoyed a successful career designing layouts for Container Stores
across the country; in all his endeavors, he has benefited from the
love and support of a fine family that includes his wife, Tiffany,
and their three children, Caitlyn, Morgan, and Reagan; and
WHEREAS, The dedication, expertise, and commitment to
excellence demonstrated by Scott LeMay have greatly benefited the
citizens of Garland, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a job
well done; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Scott LeMay for his
service as mayor of Garland and extend to him sincere best wishes
for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. LeMay as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
