No. 123R E S O L U T I O NWHEREAS, Scott LeMay retired as mayor of Garland on June 17,2025; andWHEREAS, A resident of Garland since 2001, Mr. LeMay has longtaken an active role in his community, serving on the board of theCamelot Neighborhood Association and on the Garland Charter ReviewCommittee and Plan Commission; he subsequently made a successfulbid to become a Garland City Council member, a position he held forthree consecutive terms; following his election as mayor on May 4,2019, he demonstrated outstanding leadership in carrying out theduties of his office; andWHEREAS, Outside of his civic involvement, Mr. LeMay hasenjoyed a successful career designing layouts for Container Storesacross the country; in all his endeavors, he has benefited from thelove and support of a fine family that includes his wife, Tiffany,and their three children, Caitlyn, Morgan, and Reagan; andWHEREAS, The dedication, expertise, and commitment toexcellence demonstrated by Scott LeMay have greatly benefited thecitizens of Garland, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a jobwell done; now, therefore, be itRESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th TexasLegislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Scott LeMay for hisservice as mayor of Garland and extend to him sincere best wishesfor the future; and, be it furtherRESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution beprepared for Mr. LeMay as an expression of high regard by the TexasHouse of Representatives.Button______________________________Speaker of the HouseI certify that H.R.
