sr83/enrolled.txtSENATE RESOLUTION NO. 83WHEREAS, Justice Greg Neeley is retiring from the TwelfthCourt of Appeals on October 31, 2025, concluding a remarkabletenure on the court that has spanned a decade; andWHEREAS, In 2015, Justice Neeley was appointed as the 17thjustice to serve the Twelfth Court of Appeals; before taking thebench, he worked in the Gregg County District Attorney's Office,where he was named chief felony prosecutor, and he had a 30-yearcareer in private practice in the Longview area; andWHEREAS, A native of Victoria, Justice Neeley earned hisbachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin and hisjuris doctor degree from the Texas Tech University School of Law;active in his professional community, he has served in leadershiproles with the State Bar of Texas, and he has held membership insuch organizations as the American Bar Association and the TexasAssociation of Defense Counsel; andWHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Justice Neeley benefitsfrom the love and support of his wife, Elizabeth Neeley; andWHEREAS, Greg Neeley's dedication, integrity, andcommitment to the law have greatly benefited the work of theTwelfth Court of Appeals, and he may indeed reflect with pride onhis service as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of hislife; now, therefore, be itRESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89thLegislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Greg Neeleyon his retirement from the Twelfth Court of Appeals and extend tohim sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it furtherRESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution beprepared for Justice Neeley as an expression of high regard fromthe Texas Senate.Hughes________________________________President of the SenateI hereby certify that theabove Resolution was adopted bythe Senate on September 4, 2025.________________________________Secretary of the Senate________________________________Member, Texas Senate
