[Local Approval Received.]The Commonwealth of Massachusetts_______________In the One Hundred and Ninety-Fourth General Court(2025-2026)_______________An Act amending the town of Arlington's means tested senior citizen property tax exemption.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authorityof the same, as follows:1 SECTION 1. Section 3 of chapter 285 of the acts of 2020 is hereby amended by striking2 out the last sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The total amount3 exempted by this act shall be: (i) allocated proportionally within the tax levy on all residential4 taxpayers while not exceeding 1 per cent of the town’s tax levy; or (ii) funded by an5 appropriation or transfer from existing funds while not exceeding 1 per cent of the town's tax6 levy.7 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.1 of 1
