hb2293/introduced.txtSECOND REGULAR SESSIONHOUSE BILL NO. 2293103RD GENERAL ASSEMBLYINTRODUCED BY REPRESENTATIVE JONES (88).4704H.01I JOSEPH ENGLER, Chief ClerkAN ACTTo amend chapter 195, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the over-the-counter purchase of certain medications, with an emergency clause.Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:Section A. Chapter 195, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be2 known as section 195.1000, to read as follows:195.1000. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, ivermectin tablets and2 hydroxychloroquine tablets shall be available to the public through over-the-counter3 purchase in this state without a prescription or consultation with a pharmacist or other4 health care professional.Section B. Because immediate action is necessary to ensure the public has adequate2 access to ivermectin tablets and hydroxychloroquine tablets, section A of this act is deemed3 necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, welfare, peace, and safety, and4 is hereby declared to be an emergency act within the meaning of the constitution, and section5 A of this act shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval.✔EXPLANATION — Matter enclosed in bold-faced brackets [thus] in the above bill is not enacted and isintended to be omitted from the law. Matter in bold-face type in the above bill is proposed language.
