To amend the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 to require that grantees of the Community Development Block Grant program maintain a database of publicly owned land.
1.
Short title
This Act may be cited as the Databases of Publicly Owned Land Act .
2.
Databases of publicly owned land
(a)
In general
Section 104(b) of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 ( 42 U.S.C. 5304(b) ) is amended—
(1)
in paragraph (5), by striking and at the end;
(2)
in paragraph (6), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and
(3)
by adding at the end the following:
(7)
the grantee maintains, on a publicly accessible website, a searchable database that identifies all parcels of undeveloped land owned by the grantee.

(b)
Effective date
The amendments made by this section shall take effect on October 1, 2026.
