Printed 3/26/26--S.Read the first time February 25, 2026________The committee on Senate Labor,Commerce and IndustryTo whom was referred a Bill (H. 4730) to amendthe South Carolina Code of Laws by amending Section 40-11-360, relating toexemptions of sign and billboard installation, repair, or maintenance fromcontractor, etc., respectfullyReport:That they have duly and carefully consideredthe same, and recommend that the same do pass:THOMAS DAVIS for Committee._______A billTO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY AMENDINGSECTION 40-11-360, RELATING TO EXEMPTIONS OF SIGN AND BILLBOARD INSTALLATION,REPAIR, OR MAINTENANCE FROM CONTRACTOR LICENSURE, SO AS TO INCLUDE BILLBOARDSTRUCTURES.Be it enacted by theGeneral Assembly of the State of South Carolina:SECTION 1. Section 40-11-360(11) of the S.C. Code is amended toread:(11) The installation, repair, ormaintenance of signs, ofbillboards, or single-pole billboard structures;provided, however, an electrical license is required to perform a finalconnection to a branch circuit conductor. The installation or modification of abranch circuit conductor is not considered a part of the installation, repair,or maintenance of a sign, orbillboard, or single-pole billboard structure.SECTION 2.
