19 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
20 SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars
21 ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board
22 of regents of the New Mexico institute of mining and technology
23 for expenditure in fiscal year 2027 for seismology equipment
24 and to expand monitoring network capabilities in the bureau of
25 geology and mineral resources of the New Mexico institute of

1 mining and technology, in partnership with the oil conservation
2 division of the energy, minerals and natural resources
3 department. Any unexpended balance remaining at the end of
4 fiscal year 2027 shall revert to the general fund.
