  RELATING TO LABOR AND LABOR RELATIONS -- MUNICIPAL POLICE
  ARBITRATION

 It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1SECTION 1. Section 28-9.2-17 of the General Laws in Chapter 28-9.2 entitled "Municipal
2 Police Arbitration" is hereby amended to read as follows:
328-9.2-17. Continuance of contractual provisions.
4All contractual provisions contained in a collective bargaining agreement entered into
5 pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall continue in the following collective bargaining
6 agreement unless either the bargaining agent or the corporate authority shall, in writing, within the
7 thirty-day (30) period referred to in § 28-9.2-7, propose a change in any contractual provisions until
8 such time as a successor agreement has been reached between the parties or an interest arbitration
9 award has been rendered.
10SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

  BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

  RELATING TO LABOR AND LABOR RELATIONS -- MUNICIPAL POLICE
  ARBITRATION

1This act would extend provisions of an existing collective bargaining agreement for
2 municipal police arbitration purposes until a successor agreement is reached or an interest
3 arbitration award is rendered.
4This act would take effect upon passage.
