sb2186/introduced.txtMISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE2026 Regular SessionTo: AppropriationsBy: Senator(s) BlackmonSenate Bill 2186AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO HOLMES COUNTY FOR THEPURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ROAD AND INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTSFOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027.���� BE IT ENACTED BY THELEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:SECTION 1.�The following sum, or so much of it as may be necessary, is appropriated out ofany money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to HolmesCounty for the purpose of defraying costs associated with road andinfrastructure improvements for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, andending June 30, 2027.. $ 1,250,000.00.���� SECTION 2.� The money appropriated by this act shall be paid by theState Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwiseappropriated, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the StateFiscal Officer shall issue his or her warrants upon requisitions signed by theproper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.���� SECTION 3.� This actshall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2026.
