3Relating to Marshall County; to amend Section
4 45-48-241.05, Code of Alabama 1975, to further provide for the
5 compensation of the county revenue commissioner.
6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
7Section 1.   Section 45-48-241.05, Code of Alabama 1975,
8 is amended to read as follows:
9"§45-48-241.05
10(a) The county revenue commissioner shall collect and
11 pay into the general fund of the county all fees, percentages,
12 commissions, and other allowances which the tax assessor or
13 tax collector of the county is authorized and directed to
14 charge or collect for the performance of any duty imposed on
15 the county revenue commissioner.
16(b) As compensation for the performance of the duties
17 of his or her office, the county revenue commissioner shall
18 receive an annual salary of sixty-seven thousand five hundred
19 dollars ($67,500).
20(c) Effective beginning with the next term of office,
21 the annual salary of the county revenue commissioner shall be
22 one hundred six thousand, seven hundred eighty-one dollars
23 ($106,781), payable in equal monthly installments from the
24 general fund of the county, and subsection (b) shall be void."
25Section 2. This act shall become effective on July 1,
26 2026.
