6 Statement of purpose of bill as introduced: This bill would appropriate the sum
7 of $143,000.00 to the Agency of Natural Resources in fiscal year 2027 for the
8 purpose of a grant to the Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation
9 for the costs of reinitiating brownfields site development of the Upper Valley
10 Regional Landfill in the village of Post Mills in the Town of Thetford.
11    An act relating to brownfields redevelopment of the Upper Valley Regional
12    Landfill
13 It is hereby enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont:
14 Sec. 1. BROWNFIELDS; UPPER VALLEY REGIONAL LANDFILL
15    The sum of $143,000.00 is appropriated from the General Fund to the
16 Agency of Natural Resources in fiscal year 2027 for the purpose of a grant to
17 the Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation (GMEDC) for the
18 costs of reinitiating brownfields site development of the Upper Valley
19 Regional Landfill in the village of Post Mills in the Town of Thetford. The
20 grant shall be available to GMEDC for costs incurred in a probate proceeding

1 to obtain appointment as Court Appointed Administrator to facilitate transfer
2 of site to new ownership for approval to redevelop the landfill site.
3 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE
4    This act shall take effect on passage.
