NEW LAW A new section of law to be codifiedin the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3252 of Title 70, unless thereis created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:A. The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education shallconduct a thorough study to determine the feasibility ofimplementing bachelor's degree programs that require only three (3)years, or ninety (90) credit hours, to complete in this state. Thestudy shall investigate a variety of fields of study and determinethe feasibility of reducing specific course requirements, quantityof electives, and total credit hours required for graduation. Thestudy shall consider and evaluate potential issues related toaccreditation and degree marketability.B. On or before July 1, 2026, the State Regents shall prepareand submit to the Governor, the Speaker of the Oklahoma House ofRepresentatives, and the President Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma StateSenate a report concerning the findings of the study.SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservationof the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is herebydeclared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect andbe in full force from and after its passage and approval.ENR.
