A house RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND CONGRATULATE
BRAELYN DAVIS, MAELLE WONG, AND SARAH FANG OF RIVER BLUFF HIGH SCHOOL'S CHINESE
IMMERSION PROGRAM FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING NATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS AT THE 2025 CLASS
NATIONAL TALENT SHOW COMPETITIONS AND TO COMMEND THEIR TEACHER, REBECCA FENG,
FOR HER DEDICATION AND LEADERSHIP.
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to
honor students across our State who achieve distinction through academic
excellence and cultural engagement; and
Whereas, three extraordinary students from River Bluff High School in
Lexington County School District One have brought pride to their school, their
district, and our State through their exceptional accomplishments in the 2025
Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools (CLASS) National
Talent Show Competitions; and
Whereas, Braelyn Davis and Maelle Wong earned first place nationally
in the Immersion Group Language Competition, demonstrating remarkable
proficiency and collaboration in Mandarin Chinese; and
Whereas, Sarah Fang earned second place nationally in the Heritage
Group Fine Arts Product Competition, showcasing her creative talent and deep
cultural understanding; and
Whereas, these students' impressive achievements reflect the
excellence of River Bluff High School's Chinese Immersion Program and are a
testament to the vision and dedication of their teacher, Rebecca Feng, whose
leadership and commitment to global education have left a lasting impact on her
students; and
Whereas, the House of Representatives recognizes that world language
immersion programs enrich the cultural fabric of our State, helping to prepare
students for success in an increasingly interconnected world; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives
take great pride in recognizing the achievements of these outstanding students
and their teacher. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South
Carolina House of Representatives, by this
resolution, recognize and congratulate Braelyn Davis, Maelle Wong, and Sarah Fang
of River Bluff High School's Chinese Immersion Program for their outstanding
national achievements at the 2025 Class National Talent Show Competitions and
commend their teacher, Rebecca Feng, for her dedication and leadership.
Be it further resolved that a copy
of this resolution be presented to Braelyn Davis, Maelle Wong, Sarah Fang, and
teacher Rebecca Feng of River Bluff High School.
