10An Act relating to technology; prohibiting the
           granting of personhood to artificial intelligence
11systems, environmental elements, nonhuman animals,
           and inanimate objects; clarifying act does not revoke
12personhood of entities currently recognized;
           providing for codification; and providing an
13effective date.

16 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
17      SECTION 1.  NEW LAW  A new section of law to be codified
18 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1 of Title 75A, unless there is
19 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
20      A.   Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, artificial
21 intelligence systems, environmental elements, nonhuman animals, and
22 inanimate objects shall not be recognized as or granted the status
23 of personhood under the Constitution or laws of this state.

1B.   Nothing in this section shall be construed to alter or
2  revoke the status of any municipality, corporation, association,
3  partnership, nonprofit organization, or other legal entity duly
4  recognized under the laws of this state prior to November 1, 2026.
5SECTION 2.      This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
