       An Act relating to state symbols; creating the Lucile
       Morehouse Pollinator Act; providing short title;
       designating the European honeybee as the state
       agricultural pollinator; designating the American
       bumblebee as the state native insect; designating the
       Carolina mantis as the state predator insect;
       designating the rainbow scarab as the state soil
       conservation insect; providing for noncodification;
       providing for codification; and providing an
       effective date.
SUBJECT:   State symbols
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
    SECTION 1.     NEW LAW     A new section of law not to be
codified in the Oklahoma Statutes reads as follows:
    This act shall be known and may be cited as the “Lucile
Morehouse Pollinator Act”.
    SECTION 2.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 98.26 of Title 25, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
    The European honeybee, Apis mellifera, is hereby designated and
adopted as the state agricultural pollinator of the State of
Oklahoma.
    SECTION 3.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 98.27 of Title 25, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
    The American bumblebee, Bombus pensylvanicus, is hereby
designated and adopted as the state native insect of the State of
Oklahoma.
    SECTION 4.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 98.28 of Title 25, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
    The Carolina mantis, Stagmomantis carolina, is hereby designated
and adopted as the state predator insect of the State of Oklahoma.
    SECTION 5.     NEW LAW     A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 98.29 of Title 25, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
    The rainbow scarab, Phanaeus vindex, is hereby designated and
adopted as the state soil conservation insect of the State of
Oklahoma.
   SECTION 6.   This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
