  HOUSE RESOLUTION
    EXPRESSING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON DEATH OF RENEE NICOLE GOOD IN
  MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA

1WHEREAS, It is with profound sadness and overwhelming grief that this House has
2 learned of the tragic passing of Ms. Renee Nicole Good, a 37 year-old devoted mother of three
3 children and the beloved spouse of Rebecca Good; and
4WHEREAS, Renee Nicole Good was a talented young woman, a prize-winning poet, and
5 writer who enriched her community with the creativity of her work and her abiding compassion
6 for others. Those who knew her best described her as being “one of the kindest people they’ve
7 ever known” and describe her as being “an amazing human being”; and
8WHEREAS, Renee Nicole Good’s passing has deeply affected her family and loved
9 ones, her many friends and colleagues and of all who knew her and loved her; now, therefore be it
10RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby
11 recognizes that the loss of life under tragic circumstances is a solemn reminder of the humanity
12 that binds all of us together and of the value and importance of every life; and be it further
13RESOLVED, That this House hereby extends its deepest condolences to Ms. Good’s
14 family, and loved ones on the passing of Renee Nicole Good and expresses deepest sympathies to
15 all who mourn her loss; and be it further
16RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to
17 transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the Family of Renee Nicole Good.
