Davis6and Mary R. Davis, was born in Waukegan on August 10, 1976; she7attended high school in Waukegan, later earning her G.E.D.;8she studied at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha,9Wisconsin, and she later studied at Excelsior College in New10York; and11 WHEREAS, LaQuinda Carr, as a registered nurse, served with12dedication at Better Living and Laurels of West Carrollton13until her health declined; she embodied caregiving in every14aspect of her life, serving as a nurturing presence to her15nieces and nephews, whom she lovingly raised as her own16children, instilling in them values of strength, kindness, and17self-sufficiency; and18 WHEREAS, LaQuinda Carr committed to her faith at an early19age while attending Eternal Flame African Methodist Episcopal20Church, which she considered her spiritual home, and she was21inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society;22andHR0627 - 2 - LRB104 20344 LAW 33796 r1 WHEREAS, LaQuinda Carr was a woman of many talents and2boundless energy who loved singing gospel songs, cooking3elaborate meals, hosting celebrations and feasts, dancing,4fishing, and working on cars; and5 WHEREAS, LaQuinda Carr, affectionately known as "Nanny",6lived a life defined by compassion, resilience, and unwavering7devotion to those she loved; she will be remembered for her8wisdom, her laughter, and her generosity; and9 WHEREAS, LaQuinda Carr was preceded in death by her10parents; her ex-husband, David J. Viirre; her siblings,11Christopher R. Bell and Mary M. Davis; her uncles, Carl Bell,12Roger Bell Jr., Tommy Davis, Rick Sanders, and Maurice Cox;13her aunts, Marie V.
