Erica HarrissSYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:In addition to any amounts heretofore appropriated for Community-Based Services for Persons with Developmental Disabilities and for Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled and Alternative Community Programs, appropriates $10,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services to fund transition grants awarded under the Section 14(c) transition program to assist community agencies with active or pending 14(c) certificates transition away from subminimum wages for workers with disabilities. Effective immediately.LRB104 18249 KTG 31688 bSB2911 LRB104 18249 KTG 31688 b1 AN ACT concerning appropriations.2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,3 represented in the General Assembly:4 Section 5. "An Act concerning appropriations", approved5 with items reduced June 16, 2025, Public Act 104-3, is amended6 by adding Section 87 to Article 55 as follows:7 (P.A. 104-3, Art. 55, Sec. 87 new)8 Sec. 87. In addition to any amounts heretofore9 appropriated to the Department of Human Services for10 Community-Based Services for Persons with Developmental11 Disabilities and for Intermediate Care Facilities for the12 Developmentally Disabled and Alternative Community Programs,13 the amount of $10,000,000, or so much of that sum as may be14 necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to15 the Department of Human Services to fund transition grants16 awarded under the Section 14(c) transition program to assist17 community agencies with active or pending 14(c) certificates18 transition away from subminimum wages for workers with19 disabilities.20 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon21 becoming law.
