                    RESOLUTION No. _____
1    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION congratulating the
2 Hamilton Southeastern High School "We the People" team on
3 winning the 2025 "We the People" high school state title.
4     Whereas, On December 10, 2025, the Hamilton
5 Southeastern High School "We the People" team took first
6 place in the state competition as the top high school across the
7 state of Indiana;
8     Whereas, The team will have the opportunity to compete in
9 the "We the People" National Finals, which will take place
10 April 17-19, 2026, in Washington, D.C.;
11    Whereas, During the competition, teams of students
12 answered questions from panels of judges about the
13 Constitution and its application to contemporary issues;
14     Whereas, Involvement with the "We the People"
15 competition allows students to develop a great understanding
16 of democratic principles of our constitutional republic and
17 prepares Indiana youth for a future that will encourage their
18 knowledge of and participation in our democratic system of
19 government; and
20     Whereas, The "We the People" program was developed by
21 the Center for Civic Education and is funded by the State of
22 Indiana and the Indiana Bar Foundation, which administers the
23 state "We the People" program to promote civic responsibility
24 and competence in students: Therefore,

1Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly
2of the State of Indiana, the House of Representatives
3concurring:
4      SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly
5 congratulates the Hamilton Southeastern High School "We the
6 People" team on winning the 2025 "We the People" high school
7 state title.
8      SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed
9 to transmit copies of this Resolution to Nadira Amet, Maddie
10 Bauchner, Kaydence Beck, Yonathan Bezza, Naomi Chin,
11 Harjot Deol, Natalie Donnelly, Josh Frazier, Armond Fries-
12 Andujar, Haylee Guffey, Cameron Henderson, Xochitl
