Enrolled, An Act,
COMMENDING COACH JAMIE WHITE FOR HIS SERVICE TO HALEYVILLE
HIGH SCHOOL.
WHEREAS, highest commendations are herein proudly
extended to Coach Jamie White for his outstanding service
and many contributions to Haleyville High School; and
WHEREAS, Coach White has served as an educator for
more than 13 years, during which time he has positively
influenced countless students through his commitment to
leadership, mentorship, and character development; and
WHEREAS, while Coach White has coached multiple
sports during his tenure, his true passion and greatest
impact have been realized through his leadership of the
Haleyville High School golf program; and
WHEREAS, Coach White began coaching golf in 2020 and
swiftly transformed the program into a championship-caliber
powerhouse, now widely recognized as one of the premier high
school golf programs in the State of Alabama; and
WHEREAS, under his exceptional leadership, the
Haleyville High School golf team has compiled an outstanding
overall record of 70–8, has remained undefeated in
regular-season competition throughout his tenure, and has
suffered only one loss to a Class 4A opponent in six years;
and
WHEREAS, all tournament losses during this period
have occurred in highly competitive field play, with Coach

White's teams consistently finishing among the top five
contenders; and
WHEREAS, Coach White's remarkable achievements have
earned him widespread recognition, including being named 4A
Golf Coach of the Year (2022–2025), Times Daily Golf Coach
of the Year (2022–2025), North Alabama Junior Golf Coach of
the Year (2022–2025), 2025 State Golf Coach of the Year,
2025 National Federation of State High School Associations
(NFHS) Section 3 Golf Coach of the Year, and 2025 NFHS
National Golf Coach of the Year; and
WHEREAS, beyond athletic success, Coach White places
a strong emphasis on academic excellence, fostering
discipline and high achievement among his student-athletes,
many of whom have pursued higher education in engineering
and other rigorous academic fields; and
WHEREAS, through his mentorship and guidance, Coach
White has helped seven student-athletes over the past six
years continue their golf careers at the collegiate level,
further extending the legacy of Haleyville High School; and
WHEREAS, Coach Jamie White's unwavering commitment to
excellence, integrity, and student development has brought
honor to Haleyville High School and has left a lasting
impact on the lives of those he has served; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That we highly commend Coach
Jamie White of Haleyville High School, and this resolution
serves as a tribute to him with utmost admiration, along
