3 COMMENDING COACH JAMIE WHITE FOR HIS SERVICE TO HALEYVILLE
4 HIGH SCHOOL.

6WHEREAS, highest commendations are herein proudly
7 extended to Coach Jamie White for his outstanding service
8 and many contributions to Haleyville High School; and
9WHEREAS, Coach White has served as an educator for
10 more than 13 years, during which time he has positively
11 influenced countless students through his commitment to
12 leadership, mentorship, and character development; and
13WHEREAS, while Coach White has coached multiple
14 sports during his tenure, his true passion and greatest
15 impact have been realized through his leadership of the
16 Haleyville High School golf program; and
17WHEREAS, Coach White began coaching golf in 2020 and
18 swiftly transformed the program into a championship-caliber
19 powerhouse, now widely recognized as one of the premier high
20 school golf programs in the State of Alabama; and
21WHEREAS, under his exceptional leadership, the
22 Haleyville High School golf team has compiled an outstanding
23 overall record of 70–8, has remained undefeated in
24 regular-season competition throughout his tenure, and has
25 suffered only one loss to a Class 4A opponent in six years;
26 and
27WHEREAS, all tournament losses during this period
28 have occurred in highly competitive field play, with Coach

29 White's teams consistently finishing among the top five
30 contenders; and
31WHEREAS, Coach White's remarkable achievements have
32 earned him widespread recognition, including being named 4A
33 Golf Coach of the Year (2022–2025), Times Daily Golf Coach
34 of the Year (2022–2025), North Alabama Junior Golf Coach of
35 the Year (2022–2025), 2025 State Golf Coach of the Year,
36 2025 National Federation of State High School Associations
37 (NFHS) Section 3 Golf Coach of the Year, and 2025 NFHS
38 National Golf Coach of the Year; and
39WHEREAS, beyond athletic success, Coach White places
40 a strong emphasis on academic excellence, fostering
41 discipline and high achievement among his student-athletes,
42 many of whom have pursued higher education in engineering
43 and other rigorous academic fields; and
44WHEREAS, through his mentorship and guidance, Coach
45 White has helped seven student-athletes over the past six
46 years continue their golf careers at the collegiate level,
47 further extending the legacy of Haleyville High School; and
48WHEREAS, Coach Jamie White's unwavering commitment to
49 excellence, integrity, and student development has brought
50 honor to Haleyville High School and has left a lasting
51 impact on the lives of those he has served; now therefore,
52BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
53 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That we highly commend Coach
54 Jamie White of Haleyville High School, and this resolution
55 serves as a tribute to him with utmost admiration, along
