The Eminent Domain Act is amended by adding5 Section 25-5-145 as follows:6 (735 ILCS 30/25-5-145 new)7 Sec. 25-5-145. Quick-take; Village of Oak Park.8 (a) Quick-take proceedings under Article 20 may be used by9 the Village of Oak Park for a period of 2 years after the10 effective date of this amendatory Act of the 104th General11 Assembly for the acquisition of the following described12 properties for the purpose of a public building and facility:13 3-31 Madison Street and 509 S. Humphrey Avenue (sometimes14 known as 11 Madison Street)15 PINs 16-17-107-035-0000, 16-17-107-034-0000,16 16-17-107-004-0000, 16-17-107-003-0000, 16-17-107-002-0000,17 16-17-107-001-0000, 16-17-106-017-0000, and18 16-17-106-018-000019 LOTS 1 THROUGH 10 ALL INCLUSIVE, IN WILSON'S AUSTIN20 BOULEVARD AND MADISON STREET SUBDIVISION IN THE NORTHWEST21 QUARTER OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 39 NORTH, RANGE 13 EAST OF22 THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLATSB3107 Enrolled - 2 - LRB104 20389 JRC 33849 b1 THEREOF FILED IN THE OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR OF TITLES OF2 COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS DOCUMENT NUMBER 91638.3 AND4 LOTS 1, 2 AND 3 IN HOLTON'S SUBDIVISION OF THE EAST HALF OF5 LOT 2 OF HENRY C. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon15 becoming law.
Amends the Eminent Domain Act. Provides that quick-take powers may be used by the Village of Oak Park for a period of 2 years after the effective date of the amendatory Act for the acquisition of specified properties in Cook County for the purpose of a public building and facility. Repeals the provisions added by the amendatory Act 3 years after the effective date. Effective immediately.
