10 Statement of purpose of bill as introduced: This bill proposes to articulate
11 Vermont’s general health policies and amend various provisions of Title 7 to
12 align Vermont’s system of alcoholic beverage and cannabis regulation with
13 those general health policies, including amendments that prohibit the holder of
14 an alcoholic beverage retail license from commingling alcoholic and
15 nonalcoholic beverages within the same retail display. This bill also proposes
16 to appropriate monies to the Cannabis Control Board to commission an
17 independent legal analysis of state regulation of cannabis advertising.
