The Pharmacy Practice Act is amended by adding5 Section 45 as follows:6 (225 ILCS 85/45 new)7 Sec. 45. Pharmaceutical recall notice sign-up. Every8 pharmacy licensed in this State shall post in a conspicuous9 place near the pharmacy counter and drive-up window, a sign10 that includes a QR code informing patients of the ability to11 sign up for medication recalls via the United States Food and12 Drug Administration website. The Department may adopt rules13 necessary to implement this Section.14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January15 1, 2027.
Amends the Pharmacy Practice Act. Provides that every pharmacy licensed in this State shall post in a conspicuous place near the pharmacy counter and drive-up window, a sign that includes a QR code informing patients of the ability to sign up for medication recalls via the United States Food and Drug Administration website. Provides that the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation may adopt rules necessary to implement the provisions. Effective January 1, 2027.
