SINGERDistrict 30 (Monmouth and Ocean)Co-Sponsored by:Senator DiegnanSYNOPSIS���� Permits county vocational schools to operate StateHouse Annex cafe.CURRENT VERSION OF TEXT���� As introduced.��An Act concerning the State House cafe andsupplementing P.L.1999, c.146.����� Be ItEnacted by the Senate and General Assembly ofthe State of New Jersey:���� 1.� Notwithstanding any law,rule, or regulation to the contrary, the Business Enterprise New Jersey programadministered by the Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired of theDepartment of Human Services shall permit county vocational schools to operatethe State House Annex cafe.����� The Department of HumanServices shall, in accordance with the "Administrative ProcedureAct," P.L.1968, c.410 (C.52:14B-1 et seq.), adopt rules and regulations asnecessary to implement this act.���� 2. �This act shall take effecton the first day of the third month next following enactment, except that the Commissionfor the Blind and Visually Impaired of the Department of Human Services maytake any anticipatory administrative action in advance as shall be necessaryfor the implementation of this act.STATEMENT���� Under this bill, the BusinessEnterprise New Jersey (BENJ) program administered by the Commission for theBlind and Visually Impaired of the Department of Human Services will allowcounty vocational schools to operate the State House Annex cafe.� Current lawprovides for the operation of the State House cafe through the BENJ, but only byvisually impaired persons.�
