                                11   RELATING TO TECHNOLOGY; PERMITTING THE DEPARTMENT OF
                                12   INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TO UNDERTAKE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
                                13   PROJECTS FOR JUDICIAL BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT; MAKING AN
                                14   APPROPRIATION.

                                16   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

                                17        SECTION 1.    A new section of the Department of Information

                                18   Technology Act is enacted to read:
                                19        "[NEW MATERIAL] INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS--DUTIES.--
                                20  A.   The department may enter into agreements to
                                21   undertake, where feasible, information technology projects for
                                22   any branch of the judiciary.
                                23  B.   The department may, in compliance with the
                                24   Procurement Code, establish price agreements with vendors for
                                25   information technology goods and services.

                                1  C.   On July 1, 2027, and on July 1 of each
                                2    subsequent year, the department shall provide a catalog listing
                                3    the information technology goods and services it has available
                                4    to offer with the approved rates.
                                5  D.   The department may require a non-agency customer
                                6    to comply with all rules and guidance applicable to a
                                7    department-provided good or service but shall not require a
                                8    non-agency customer to comply with any other law administered
                                9    by the department unless otherwise provided by law.        The
                                10   department shall only access non-agency data as necessary to
                                11   establish and maintain goods and services it has made available
                                12   to non-agency customers."
                                13        SECTION 2.     APPROPRIATION.--One million two hundred
                                14   thousand dollars ($1,200,000) is appropriated from the general
                                15   fund to the administrative office of the district attorneys for
                                16   expenditure in fiscal year 2027 for the purchase, in

                                17   consultation with the department of information technology, of

                                18   technology goods and services for the use of district attorneys
                                19   statewide.    Any unexpended balance remaining at the end of
                                20   fiscal year 2027 shall revert to the general fund.
