hb301/introduced.txt1 HOUSE BILL 3012 57TH LEGISLATURE - STATE OF NEW MEXICO - SECOND SESSION, 20263 INTRODUCED BY4 Rebecca Dow5678910 AN ACT11 RELATING TO TECHNOLOGY; PERMITTING THE DEPARTMENT OF12 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TO UNDERTAKE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY13 PROJECTS FOR JUDICIAL BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT; MAKING AN14 APPROPRIATION.1516 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:[bracketed material] = delete17 SECTION 1. A new section of the Department of Informationunderscored material = new18 Technology Act is enacted to read:19 "[NEW MATERIAL] INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS--DUTIES.--20 A. The department may enter into agreements to21 undertake, where feasible, information technology projects for22 any branch of the judiciary.23 B. The department may, in compliance with the24 Procurement Code, establish price agreements with vendors for25 information technology goods and services..233538.21 C. On July 1, 2027, and on July 1 of each2 subsequent year, the department shall provide a catalog listing3 the information technology goods and services it has available4 to offer with the approved rates.5 D. The department may require a non-agency customer6 to comply with all rules and guidance applicable to a7 department-provided good or service but shall not require a8 non-agency customer to comply with any other law administered9 by the department unless otherwise provided by law. The10 department shall only access non-agency data as necessary to11 establish and maintain goods and services it has made available12 to non-agency customers."13 SECTION 2. APPROPRIATION.--One million two hundred14 thousand dollars ($1,200,000) is appropriated from the general15 fund to the administrative office of the district attorneys for16 expenditure in fiscal year 2027 for the purchase, in[bracketed material] = delete17 consultation with the department of information technology, ofunderscored material = new18 technology goods and services for the use of district attorneys19 statewide. Any unexpended balance remaining at the end of20 fiscal year 2027 shall revert to the general fund.21 - 2 -22232425.233538.2
