                                11   MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT TO
                                12   PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM SCHOOL FOR FOSTER CHILDREN.

                                14   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
                                15        SECTION 1.   APPROPRIATION.--One million two hundred
                                16   thousand dollars ($1,200,000) is appropriated from the general

                                17   fund to the public education department for expenditure in

                                18   fiscal year 2027 and subsequent fiscal years for the
                                19   Albuquerque public school district to provide transportation to
                                20   and from school for foster children.   Any unexpended balance
                                21   remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the
                                22   general fund.
