sb238/introduced.txt1 SENATE BILL 2382 57TH LEGISLATURE - STATE OF NEW MEXICO - SECOND SESSION, 20263 INTRODUCED BY4 Peter Wirth5678910 AN ACT11 RELATING TO GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION; RENAMING THE GOVERNOR'S12 RESIDENCE ADVISORY COMMISSION AS THE GOVERNOR'S RESIDENCE13 MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR MEMBERSHIP OF THE14 COMMITTEE.1516 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:[bracketed material] = delete17 SECTION 1. Section 15-3A-1 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1989,underscored material = new18 Chapter 363, Section 1) is amended to read:19 "15-3A-1. GOVERNOR'S RESIDENCE [ADVISORY COMMISSION]20 MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE--CREATED.--21 A. There is created the "governor's residence22 [advisory commission] management committee", which shall be23 administratively attached to the general services department,24 consisting of:25 [B. The commission shall consist of five members.233143.4GLG1 selected as follows]2 (1) the governor or [his] the governor's3 designee;4 (2) the secretary of general services or [his]5 the secretary's designee from the facilities management6 division of the general services department; and7 (3) three members appointed by the governor8 [from a list of names submitted by the governor's mansion9 foundation, a nonprofit, charitable corporation of this state.10 The chairman of the commission shall be elected annually from11 among the commission membership] who shall be appointed as12 follows:13 (a) one member shall be appointed for a14 term of two years; one member shall be appointed for a term of15 three years; and one member shall be appointed for a term of16 four years; and[bracketed material] = delete17 (b) upon the expiration of a term of aunderscored material = new18 member appointed by the governor pursuant to Subparagraph (a)19 of this paragraph, the next appointed member shall be appointed20 for a term of four years to maintain the staggered expiration21 dates.22 B. The chair of the committee shall be designated23 by the governor.24 C.
