               HOUSE CONCURRENT
               RESOLUTION No. ____
1    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION celebrating the 40th
2 anniversary of the Indianapolis Children's Choir.
3   Whereas, Since its founding in 1986, the Indianapolis
4 Children's Choir has served more than 2,500 young people
5 each year through high-quality music education programs,
6 fostering artistic excellence, discipline, and personal growth
7 for children ages 18 months through 18 years;
8   Whereas, The Indianapolis Children's Choir draws
9 participants from nearly 20 counties across central Indiana,
10 representing hundreds of schools and school districts, and it
11 offers a wide range of choirs and educational pathways that
12 serve children of all abilities, including early childhood,
13 foundational, preparatory, performing, and special-needs
14 ensembles;
15   Whereas, The Indianapolis Children's Choir has earned
16 national and international recognition for artistic distinction
17 through performances at premier venues, appearances at
18 professional music conferences, collaborations with
19 world-class orchestras and artists, extensive touring, and a
20 broad catalog of recordings and broadcasts;
21   Whereas, The Indianapolis Children's Choir has played a
22 vital role in the cultural and civic life of Indiana through
23 performances at major artistic, historical, and public events,
24 while inspiring audiences and representing the state with
25 excellence on national and global stages;
26  Whereas, The Indianapolis Children's Choir's dedicated

1 faculty, staff, and volunteers have demonstrated an enduring
2 commitment to educational excellence, artistic integrity, and
3 the holistic development of every singer;
4   Whereas, Generations of alumni of the Indianapolis
5 Children's Choir have carried forward the values of leadership,
6 collaboration, and artistic achievement into their communities
7 and professions around the world; and
8   Whereas, The 40th anniversary of the Indianapolis Children's
9 Choir provides an opportunity to celebrate its lasting legacy
10 and reaffirm its mission to transform lives through music for
11 future generations: Therefore,
12Be it resolved by the House of Representatives
13of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana,
14the Senate concurring:
15    SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly celebrates
16 the Indianapolis Children's Choir and its impact on central
17 Indiana youth and the arts.
18    SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
19 Representatives shall transmit copies of this resolution to State
20 Representative Mitch Gore for distribution.
