HR____ MOURNING THE DEATH AND CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF FRANK
POOLE, JR.
WHEREAS, it is with profound sadness that we note the
death of Frank Poole, Jr. of Montgomery, Alabama, on January
31, 2026, at the age of 80; and
WHEREAS, his departure leaves a void in the lives of
his loving family and friends; he will be remembered as a
devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, and
great-grandfather; his legacy lives on through the many
lives he touched; and
WHEREAS, Frank was born to Frank Poole, Sr. and
Fannie Lee Poole in Sprague, Alabama, on July 1, 1946;
affectionately known as "BooLee," Frank proudly graduated
from Dunbar High School in 1965 with classmates who loved
him endlessly; and
WHEREAS, he accepted Christ at an early age,
professing his faith at White Cloud Baptist Church in Ramer;
he subsequently was a member of various congregations, the
most recent being First Baptist Church of Greater Washington
Park in Montgomery; and
WHEREAS, Frank met the love of his life, Carlotter
Poole, and they were united in marriage in 1967; he was
hardworking and dedicated to caring for his family; and
WHEREAS, he worked for Montgomery City Hall as a mail

carrier for 32 years; after retirement, he was able to
devote more time to learning and watching his kids grow; and
WHEREAS, Frank was preceded in death by his parents
and sister, Helen Thomas; precious memories will always be
cherished by his devoted wife of 59 years, Carlotter Poole;
sons, Terry Poole, Sr. (Regina), Roderick Poole (Shante),
and Maurice Poole, Sr. (Danielle); daughter, Pamela Poole;
grandchildren, Brandon Matsey, Tiffany Landon, Justin Poole,
Brittney Steele, Jenario Jackson, Terry Poole, Jr., Kardeem
Poole, Briona Poole, Jasmine Poole, Maurice Poole, Jr.,
Jalen Poole, Zoie Franklin, and Landon Poole;
great-grandchildren, Braylon, Lyric, Kason, Athena,
Kingston, Jayden, Aubrie, Quentin, Jada, Kian, and Reigen;
brother, Roy Poole; and sisters, Betty Thomas (Robert),
Jessie, and Annie; and
WHEREAS, his family cherishes all of the wonderful
moments they shared with Frank over the years; he leaves
behind a strong foundation of love that his family will
build upon for generations to come; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Frank Poole, Jr.
is recorded with deep sadness, and this resolution is
offered in tribute to his life, along with heartfelt
sympathy to his family, whose grief is shared by many.
