4 HR____ MOURNING THE DEATH AND CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF FRANK
5 POOLE, JR.

7WHEREAS, it is with profound sadness that we note the
8 death of Frank Poole, Jr. of Montgomery, Alabama, on January
9 31, 2026, at the age of 80; and
10WHEREAS, his departure leaves a void in the lives of
11 his loving family and friends; he will be remembered as a
12 devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, and
13 great-grandfather; his legacy lives on through the many
14 lives he touched; and
15WHEREAS, Frank was born to Frank Poole, Sr. and
16 Fannie Lee Poole in Sprague, Alabama, on July 1, 1946;
17 affectionately known as "BooLee," Frank proudly graduated
18 from Dunbar High School in 1965 with classmates who loved
19 him endlessly; and
20WHEREAS, he accepted Christ at an early age,
21 professing his faith at White Cloud Baptist Church in Ramer;
22 he subsequently was a member of various congregations, the
23 most recent being First Baptist Church of Greater Washington
24 Park in Montgomery; and
25WHEREAS, Frank met the love of his life, Carlotter
26 Poole, and they were united in marriage in 1967; he was
27 hardworking and dedicated to caring for his family; and
28WHEREAS, he worked for Montgomery City Hall as a mail

29 carrier for 32 years; after retirement, he was able to
30 devote more time to learning and watching his kids grow; and
31WHEREAS, Frank was preceded in death by his parents
32 and sister, Helen Thomas; precious memories will always be
33 cherished by his devoted wife of 59 years, Carlotter Poole;
34 sons, Terry Poole, Sr. (Regina), Roderick Poole (Shante),
35 and Maurice Poole, Sr. (Danielle); daughter, Pamela Poole;
36 grandchildren, Brandon Matsey, Tiffany Landon, Justin Poole,
37 Brittney Steele, Jenario Jackson, Terry Poole, Jr., Kardeem
38 Poole, Briona Poole, Jasmine Poole, Maurice Poole, Jr.,
39 Jalen Poole, Zoie Franklin, and Landon Poole;
40 great-grandchildren, Braylon, Lyric, Kason, Athena,
41 Kingston, Jayden, Aubrie, Quentin, Jada, Kian, and Reigen;
42 brother, Roy Poole; and sisters, Betty Thomas (Robert),
43 Jessie, and Annie; and
44WHEREAS, his family cherishes all of the wonderful
45 moments they shared with Frank over the years; he leaves
46 behind a strong foundation of love that his family will
47 build upon for generations to come; now therefore,
48BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
49 LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Frank Poole, Jr.
50 is recorded with deep sadness, and this resolution is
51 offered in tribute to his life, along with heartfelt
52 sympathy to his family, whose grief is shared by many.
