SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
    Appropriates $1,670,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Arts Council for the purpose of a grant to the Illinois Humanities Council. Appropriates $250,000 to the Department of Natural Resources for the purpose of a grant to the Illinois Humanities Council for costs associated with the Illinois America 250th Commemoration, including general operating costs associated with statewide commemoration efforts. Effective July 1, 2026.

1		    AN ACT concerning appropriations.
2		    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3		represented in the General Assembly:
4		    Section 5. The amount of $1,670,000, or so much of that sum
5		as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
6		Fund to the Illinois Arts Council for a grant to the Illinois
7		Humanities Council.
8		    Section 10. The amount of $250,000, or so much of that sum
9		as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
10		fund to the Department of Natural Resources for a grant to the
11		Illinois Humanities Council for costs associated with the
12		Illinois America 250th Commemoration, including general
13		operating costs associated with State commemoration efforts.
14		    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
15		2026.
