SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
    Appropriates $2,500,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for a grant to the Illinois Prison Project for the purposes of legal support, representation, and education for incarcerated persons in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Effective July 1, 2026.

1		    AN ACT concerning appropriations.
2		    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3		represented in the General Assembly:
4		    Section 5. The amount of $2,500,000, or so much of that
5		amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General
6		Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for a grant to
7		the Illinois Prison Project for the purposes of legal support,
8		representation, and education for incarcerated persons in the
9		Illinois Department of Corrections.
10		    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
11		2026.
