The Department of Professional Regulation Law5 of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by6 changing Section 2105-368 as follows:7 (20 ILCS 2105/2105-368)8 Sec. 2105-368. Data on applications.9 (a) In conjunction with applications for licensure and10 renewals, the Department shall request, and applicants may11 voluntarily provide, demographic information that includes12 sex, ethnicity, race, disability, primary language spoken,13 anticipated date of retirement, type of employment, and zip14 code.15 (b) In conjunction with applications for health care16 professional licensure and renewals, the Department shall17 request, and applicants may voluntarily provide, practice18 information that include areas of practice specialty,19 addresses of all current practice locations, hours spent at20 each practice location on direct outpatient care, the21 applicant's National Provider Identifier (NPI) number if22 applicable, and anticipated date of retirement. The Department23 shall share this information with authorized personnel at theHB5472 Engrossed - 2 - LRB104 19807 CCC 33257 b1 Department of Public Health. Data specifically collected for2 this subsection shall be exempt from the Freedom of3 Information Act.4 (c) On or before March 1 of each calendar year, the5 Department shall publish a report on the Department's website6 that contains aggregate data, including the demographic7 information it collected pursuant to subsection (a) in the8 preceding calendar year, the number of applications for9 licensure and renewal of licensure it received in the10 preceding calendar year, and the number of applicants who were11 denied licensure in the preceding calendar year regardless of12 whether application was made in that calendar year. None of13 the data published pursuant to this Section shall identify a14 health care professional's name or any other data that leads15 to identification.16 (d) As used in this subsection, "health care professional"17 means a person who is licensed or has applied to be licensed by18 the Department as a physician to practice medicine in all its19 branches under the Medical Practice Act of 1987, an advanced20 practice registered nurse under the Nurse Practice Act, or a21 dentist under the Illinois Dental Practice Act.22 (Source: P.A. 103-522, eff. 1-1-25; 103-605, eff. 7-1-24;23 104-311, eff. 1-1-26.)
