SJ0006ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 2, SENATESIXTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING2026 BUDGET SESSIONA JOINT RESOLUTION designating April 26 of each year to beshared parenting day in the state of Wyoming.WHEREAS, children are Wyoming's most important asset; andWHEREAS, shared parenting is an arrangement under whichparents who are separated or divorced are given jointdecision-making authority and shared parenting time; andWHEREAS, research indicates that children benefit greatly ifthey have a good relationship with both parents who are fitcaregivers; andWHEREAS, shared parenting arrangements offer children thebenefit of building a relationship with each parent, provideparents with the opportunity to ensure the healthy mental,physical and emotional development of their children andcreate venues for parents to engage in positive,collaborative efforts geared toward the well-being of theirchildren; andWHEREAS, shared parenting arrangements recognize that eventhough the intimate relationship between the parents hasended, the familial relationships continue and requirenurturing and cultivation to support healthy childdevelopment.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MEMBERS OF THELEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING:1ORIGINAL SENATEJOINT RESOLUTION.
