 AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE TO ESTABLISH A
 WORLD WAR II MUSEUM AND EDUCATION CENTER IN THE TOWN
 OF EAST HARTFORD.
 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
 Assembly convened:
1That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the
2    issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the
3    general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate
4    one million dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the
5    Department of Economic and Community Development for the purpose
6    of providing a grant-in-aid to the town of East Hartford, or a nonprofit
7    organization designated by said town, to establish a World War II
8    museum and education center in said town.
    Statement of Purpose:
    To provide funding to establish a Word War II museum and education
    center in the town of East Hartford to memorialize the contributions and
    sacrifices of the veterans of World War II.
