3 COMMENDING BOAZ HIGH SCHOOL ON WINNING THE 2026 NATIONAL
4 HIGH SCHOOL CHEERLEADING CHAMPIONSHIP.
5
6WHEREAS, commendations and congratulations are herein
7 extended to the Boaz High School Cheer Team on winning the
8 2026 National High School Cheerleading Championship in the
9 Division II Varsity Coed Non-Tumbling Competition; and
10WHEREAS, the prestigious competition was hosted by
11 the Universal Cheerleaders Association as part of the
12 National School Spirit Championship, and was held on
13 February 1, 2026, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
14 at Walt Disney World® Resort in Osceola County, Florida; and
15WHEREAS, under the leadership of Head Coach Tiffany
16 Rhoden and Coach Leah Milam, the Boaz Pirates Varsity Cheer
17 Team delivered a top-notch performance, adding to its
18 impressive resume that already includes 16 State
19 Championships, 30 Regional Titles, and now four National
20 Championships: 1996, 1997, 2002, and 2026; and
21WHEREAS, Coach Rhoden, who has led the program since
22 2006, has guided the Pirates to nine state titles and now
23 the school's first national cheerleading championship in 24
24 years; and
25WHEREAS, the outstanding members of the 2026
26 championship squad are KalliRay Collins, Grady Quisenberry,
27 Lilibeth Bailey, Lilly Cornutt, Leah Fowler, Kymber Leath,
28 Lily Pearce, Lydia Whitfield, Valentin Alderete, Brailei

29 Davis, Avah Garrard, Emma Lopez, Bella Oaks, Averi Rogers,
30 Treazure Seay, Raylee Tucker, Harper Walls, Chloe Bishop,
31 Avery Brown, Madi Hicks, Allie Kate Trussell, Mylee Elliott,
32 Peyton Manders, and Hadley Walls; and
33WHEREAS, with their exceptional abilities and
34 unwavering commitment to excellence, the Boaz High School
35 Cheer Team is the source of justifiable pride to their
36 school, and their success in national competition reflects
37 honor upon the entire State of Alabama; now therefore,
38BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
39 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That the Boaz High School Cheer
40 Team is honored and commended for winning the 2026 National
41 High School Cheerleading Championship in the Division II
42 Varsity Coed Non-Tumbling Competition, and this resolution
43 is offered in highest tribute to them, along with heartiest
44 congratulations and best wishes for the future.
