 BY REPRESENTATIVE SPELL
1AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 46:2605(B)(4) and (37) and 2605.1(B)(2) and (16) and to enact
3R.S. 46:2605(B)(31) and 2605.1(B)(22), relative to the Children's Cabinet Advisory
4Board; to provide for the membership of the Children's Cabinet Advisory Board; to
5provide for the membership of the Council on the Status of Grandparents Raising
6Grandchildren; and to provide for related matters.
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8Section 1. R.S. 46:2605(B)(4) and (37) and 2605.1(B)(2) and (16) are hereby
9 amended and reenacted and R.S. 46:2605(B)(31) and 2605.1(B)(22) are hereby enacted to
10 read as follows:
11§2605. Children's Cabinet Advisory Board

13B. The advisory board shall be composed of the following members:

15(4)   A representative from the Louisiana Maternal and Child Health
16Coalition. The superintendent of the Louisiana State Police or his designee.

18(31) A representative of the Family Road of Greater Baton Rouge.
19*       *  *
20(37) A representative of the Louisiana Association of Childcare Agencies A
21representative of the Child Care Association of Louisiana.

1§2605.1. Council on the Status of Grandparents Raising Grandchildren

3B. The council shall be composed of the following members:

5(2) Three members One member representing the Department of Children
6and Family Services appointed by the secretary of the department, one of whom shall
7be a representative of the kinship care subsidy program, one of whom shall be a
8representative of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and one of whom
9department who shall be a representative of the foster care program.

11(16) One member representing and appointed by LouisianaChildren.org.
12One member representing the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program appointed
13by the secretary of the department or agency administering the program.

15(22) One member representing the Kinship Care Subsidy Program appointed
16by the secretary of the department or agency administering the program.
