An act to amend Section 35160 of the Education Code, relating to elementary and secondary education.

School districts: local authority.
Existing law authorizes the governing board of a school district to initiate and carry on any program, activity, or to act in any manner that is not in conflict with or inconsistent with, or preempted by, any law and that is not in conflict with the purposes for which school districts are established.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that provision.
The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 35160 of the
Education Code
is amended to read:
35160.
On and after January 1, 1976, the governing board of a school district may initiate and carry on any program, activity, or may otherwise act in a manner that is not in conflict with or inconsistent with, or preempted by, any law and
that is not in conflict with the purposes for which school districts are established.
