1AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 33:385.1(B)(3), relative to the village of Tickfaw; to provide relative to the
3office of police chief of the village; to provide relative to the qualifications for the
4office; and to provide for related matters.
5Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
6as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of
7Louisiana.
8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
9Section 1. R.S. 33:385.1(B)(3) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
10§385.1. Qualifications of elected chief of police

14(3) Notwithstanding the provisions of Paragraph (1) of this Subsection, an
15elected chief of police in the village of Tickfaw shall reside within the corporate
16limits of the village. At the time of qualification as a candidate for the office of chief
17of police, a person shall have been domiciled in the village for at least the
18immediately preceding year.
