1AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 17:3217.6, relative to community and technical education; to authorize any
3institution under the supervision and management of the Board of Supervisors of
4Community and Technical Colleges to establish a pilot program in partnership with
5a local public school system; to provide for the purpose of the program; to subject
6the partnership to the approval of the board of supervisors and the applicable city,
7parish, or other local public school board; and to provide for related matters.
8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
9Section 1. R.S. 17:3217.6 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
10§3217.6.    Louisiana Community and Technical College System institutions;
11partnership with local school systems; pilot program
12Any institution under the supervision and management of the Board of
13Supervisors of Community and Technical Colleges may establish a pilot program
14in partnership with a city, parish, or other local public school system for the purpose
15of increasing awareness of and access to commercial driver's license training
16programs, entry level driver training programs, and transportation, distribution, and

1logistics programs. Such partnership shall be subject to the approval of the board of
2supervisors and the city, parish, or other local public school board.
