Chapter 168, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto2 one new section, to be known as section 168.780, to read as3 follows:1168.780. 1. Personally identifiable information of a2 teacher collected by a public school or school district3 shall not be sold or disclosed by any public school, school4 district, or third-party entity to any party for any5 commercial use, including, but not limited to, marketing or6 solicitation; compiling, selling, or renting lists;7 developing or enhancing products or services; or creating or8 using individual, household, or group profiles.92. If a public school or school district conducts a10 background check on a teacher for purposes relating to such11 teacher's work-related travel or transportation of students12 for educational purposes, under no circumstances shall such13 background check be reported, transmitted, or otherwise14 treated as a credit inquiry or have any direct or indirect15 effect on the teacher's credit score.✓
