                                                   AN ACT
 To amend chapter 168, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to school employees.
 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
1Section A. Chapter 168, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto
2  one new section, to be known as section 168.780, to read as
3  follows:
1168.780.  1. Personally identifiable information of a
2  teacher collected by a public school or school district
3  shall not be sold or disclosed by any public school, school
4  district, or third-party entity to any party for any
5  commercial use, including, but not limited to, marketing or
6  solicitation; compiling, selling, or renting lists;
7  developing or enhancing products or services; or creating or
8  using individual, household, or group profiles.
92.     If a public school or school district conducts a
10  background check on a teacher for purposes relating to such
11  teacher's work-related travel or transportation of students
12  for educational purposes, under no circumstances shall such
13  background check be reported, transmitted, or otherwise
14  treated as a credit inquiry or have any direct or indirect
15  effect on the teacher's credit score.
